NUT304 - The Future of Food
In this unit students will gain an understanding of complex and interconnected factors shaping contemporary food systems, including socio-cultural norms, historical developments, geographic limitations, environmental pressures, and political situations. Students will explore how food systems respond to shocks--such as climate events, economic disruptions, international conflict, or public health crises--and assess their resilience and adaptability. Students will investigate options to improve food systems at a local, national and global level to help improve food security and achieve global sustainable development goals.Â
